- The adventures of Kake and Jelly started with our meeting in Ocean City Md in 2000 and has included many milestones along the way to the present. After over 3 years of a long distance relationship, largely sustained by unlimited cell phone minutes and once trendy IM messaging, we were engaged (October 2003). Over a year and several bridezilla moments later our wedding sealed our fate and we never had unlimited time in the bathroom again (June 2005). One abnormally summery day in November 2005 we moved into our first home together, and have since learned about all the things we want in our second home! Several minor injuries, early morning Dunkin Donut iced coffees, and multiple runs to Home Depot later, our house is ALMOST the gem we thought it could be. Which is great timing since we will soon be overwhelmed by another project, this one lasting a lifetime but still likely to include minor injuries, lots of coffee, and many trips to local big box stores--the birth and subsequent parenting of our first child. Stay tuned until mid November to find out if BabyKakes is a boy or girl....or BOTH!!! Eeeek.
